Also, try this: do not start apps by right clicking and selecting "start with x card". Games will start with the proper card, but i had trouble routing the audio to the headset. Apparently the laptop monitor is linked to the vega, but hdmi is from the geforce. To force the Nvidia use for all the apps, you can connect the laptop to a second monitor through hdmi and set it as your primary. But, once you're in Oculus home, you can re-enable it and keep it that way until you reboot windows (so if you usually just put it to sleep like i do, links keeps working between wake-ups). I found no way to start link without disabling the vega from device manager first. Some things that works for me and may be useful: Hei u/Termehh, i have the TUF505DU (mostly same specs but with a 1660ti), you should be able to make it work with a bit of fiddling.
